Birding safari in Kenya

Our birding safari will start today whereby you will drive from Nairobi city then head to lake Naivasha where you will have your lunch and then in the afternoon drive to Hell’s gate national park for evening birding. You will drive to Crayfish camp for dinner and overnight.

After having your morning breakfast, you will drive to Maasai Mara national park for lunch and then have an evening game drive for searching for the birds such as Vultures, Eagles, Larks etc. You will drive to Aruba lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight while preparing for tomorrow’s activity.

After having your morning breakfast, you will start your second day bird watching in Maasai Mara national park until lunch time. You will drive back to the lodge to take a rest and then in the afternoon, you will have another game drive by visiting hippo point along Talek river. You will be able to watch other different bird species and also see crocodiles, zebras, antelopes etc and then drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Aruba lodge.

After having your morning breakfast, you will start a full day game drive and on this trip, you will have your packed lunch in the box. You will be able to see the big cats and if you are lucky enough, you will watch hunting and then you will proceed to Mara river bridge where you will have your lunch. In the afternoon, you will continue with your game drive and hopefully early arrivals of Gnus maybe sighted as you will be close to Serengeti national park in Tanzania. In the evening, you will drive back to Aruba lodge for dinner and overnight.

After having your morning breakfast, you will depart from Massai Mara national park and drive towards lake Victoria where you will watch birds in the papyrus on the lake shores and also spotting some hippos before driving to Kakamega in the afternoon. You will drive in the evening to Rondo retreat for your dinner and overnight.

In the morning, you will have a forest walk while watching different types of bird species such as Widow birds, Warblers, Stulhman’s starlings, Forest weavers, Turacos, Alethes and Green buls etc. The forest has got beautiful butterflies, fauna plus various monkeys which can be spotted during the trail. In the evening, you will come back at 5pm to rest and also have dinner and overnight at Rondo retreat.

After having your early morning breakfast, you will depart from Kakamega forest to lake Baringo to spot other different bird species while having various stopovers along the way for birding. You will have your lunch at Kerio view resort. You will drive to Pokot village for a community walk and later in the evening drive to Soi safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

After having your breakfast, you will have a 3-hour morning boat cruise where you will see different types of bird species such as African scops owls and Giant Eagle owls, Pearl spotted owlet, White-faced scops owl, Grayfish Eagle owl, Spotted stone curlew, Slender-tailed nightjar, Three-banded courser etc. After having your lunch, you will drive towards Nakuru national park and upon your entry in the park, you will drive to the Nakuru lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight.

Today marks the 10 days birding safari in Kenya so, you will wake up very early in the morning and have your breakfast. In the morning, you will have a game drive while seeing different types of animals such as Elephants, Lions, Crocodiles, Zebras, Giraffes, Impala, Waterbucks, Hippos etc. After having lunch, you will have a boat ride on lake Nakuru where you see different types of bird species and then later in the evening drive back to Nairobi at your hotel. Dinner and overnight at The Boma Nairobi.

After having your morning breakfast, our driver guide will come and pick you from your hotel and drive you to the airport to take your flight back home to meet your family.
