ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Maasai Mara national park

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport , you will find our driver guide waiting for you outside at the arrivals holding a poster bearing the company name for easy identification. After meeting him, he will drive brief you on safari of Kenya and Tanzania. Then after that, you will start your journey to Maasai Mara national park with stopover at the Great Rift valley view point. Here, you will be able to see mountain Longonot from a distance and then you will proceed with the journey. After lunch at the camp, you will continue towards the park and after registering at the park’s office. You will check in at your lodge and then later have an evening game drive until sunset. After that, you will drive back at the lodge for dinner and overnight at Lenchada tourist hotel.

Day 2: Hot air balloon, boat ride & game drive in Maasai Mara national park

Today, you will wake up at 4:00am and take your morning breakfast and organize yourself for the hot air balloon safari. By 5:30am you must be at the briefing point where the flight pilot will give you instructions to follow during the flight. At 6:00am, you will start your flight which will last for an hour above in the air. It is an exhilarating tour that most people never get to experience. The balloon flies predominantly over the park towards lake Nakuru which is the only permanent water source in Maasai Mara national park and it is a perfect place for spotting wildlife. Note that the area around the lake is particularly scenic, teeming with open plains, acacia woodlands, hippo’s water pools. The views are guaranteed to be magnificent and after the hot air balloon safari, you will have a full day game drive where you will be able to see crocodiles, hippos, birds, elephants, zebras, impala etc. You will have a boat ride on the lake to search for different types of birds, hippos and Nile crocodiles while viewing the sunset. Day 3: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara

After having your morning breakfast, you will spend the whole day exploring Maasai Mara national park looking for animals such as crocodiles, giraffes, olive baboons, lions, topis, Elands, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, bush bucks, water bucks, monkeys, leopards, Cheetahs, Antelopes, Elephants etc. Note that the Nile crocodiles and hippos can be spotted at the river bank all the year. The park is known as the best place for seeing the 3 big cats family such as leopard, lions and cheetahs. In the evening, you will start your journey back to Nairobi city for dinner and overnight at Boma Nairobi hotel.

Day 4: From Nairobi to Limuru tea farms biking tour

You will start your trip by driving out of Nairobi city to Limuru tea farms and here, the bikes will be off loaded and start your journey past the tea plantations to the Great Rift Valley. You will pass through the Rift Valley while admiring the views of the landscape passing through the Maasai villages and then head to the lodge to the lodge where you will stay for the night while having dinner at Kiambethu tea farm Limuru cottages.

Day 5: From Limuru tea farm to Mountain Longonot biking tour

After taking your morning breakfast, you will start biking from the lodge to the foot hill of mountain Longonot where you will climb the mountain while viewing lake Naivasha plus the surrounding areas. You will have to put on trekking boots with light clothes because of the hot weather. You will trek the mountain which may take about 4-5 hours going up and descending. Here, your guide will brief you about the description regarding trekking and after the trek, you will be driven to your lodge which is located on Lake Naivasha on its shores and here, hippos come to graze on the shores, you will pack the bikes on the car and start your journey back to Nairobi city. Day 6: Trasfer to Tsavo East national park

After your morning breakfast ,you will head straight to Tsavo East national park along the main Mombasa-Nairobi highway. After reaching at the park, you will start the safari game drive looking for animals on entry as we slowly and surely drive towards the direction of your accommodation looking for any resident wildlife that call Tsavo East home. In the afternoon, you will continue with another series of game viewing in search of more animals and birds, concentrating on maximizing your photo opportunities of any wildlife you may spot. You will return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight at Ngulia safari lodge.

Day 7: Full day game drive in Tsavo East national park

After having a cup of tea or coffee, you will depart for an early morning game drive in search of the big cats returning from their nocturnal hunts. You will return back to the lodge for a full breakfast. You may choose to relax at the lodge or you may depart for a short optional game drive returning to the lodge in time for lunch. You will relax while enjoying the swimming pool until about 3:00pm when you will start your evening Game Drive looking for more wildlife. Just before sunset, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngulia safari lodge.

Day 8: Morning game drive & Transfer to Tsavo West national park

After enjoying coffee or tea at the lodge , you will leave for an early morning game drive in search of animals and big cats that may have come out into the open during the night. After the game drive, you will then return to the lodge for a full breakfast. You will Check out from the lodge and you will start your journey passing via the Mombasa-Nairobi highway and then later in the evening, you will drive to Tsavo West national park for another game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kilanguni Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Full day game drive in Tsavo West national park

After having a cup of tea or coffee, you will depart for an early morning game drive in search of the big cats returning from their nocturnal hunts. You will return back to the lodge for a full breakfast. You may choose to relax at the lodge or you may depart for a short optional game drive returning to the lodge in time for lunch. You will relax while enjoying the swimming pool until about 3:00pm when you will start your evening game drive looking for more wildlife. The extensive diverse habitats of Tsavo West offers an ideal area to search for pride of Lions, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Hippos, Wildebeests and many more. Mzima springs, an underground water seepage from Chyulu Hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. There is also wealth and diversity of birds’ species here for bird-lovers. Just before sunset, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kilanguni Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Morning game drive & drive back to Nairobi city

After enjoying coffee or tea at the lodge , you will leave for an early morning game drive in search of animals and big cats that may have come out into the open during the night. After the game drive, you will then return to the lodge for a full breakfast. You will Check out from the lodge and you will start your journey passing via the Mombasa-Nairobi highway and then later in the evening, you will drive back to Nairobi city. Day 11: Transfer to Amboseli national park

After having your morning breakfast, you will head straight to Amboseli national park in the southern part of Kenya. After your registration at the park’s office, you will drive towards your lodge to check in and also have a rest plus lunch. You will have a game drive in the afternoon to search for animals such as crocodiles, giraffes, olive baboons, lions, topis, Elands, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, bush bucks, water bucks, monkeys, leopards, Cheetahs, Antelopes, Elephants etc. In the evening , you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 12: Full day game drive in Amboseli national park

After having your morning breakfast, you will start with a morning game drive to search for animals such as crocodiles, giraffes, olive baboons, lions, topis, Elands, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, bush bucks, water bucks, monkeys, leopards, Cheetahs, Antelopes, Elephants etc. During the morning game drive, you will see the magnificent snow capped mountain Kilimanjaro at a close range. The park has numerous swamps which attracts a lot of birds so you will not be disappointed if you are a bird lover. You will see different types of bird species such as Crakes, Flamingos, Kingfishers, Pelicans etc. The park has got an observation hill where you can get out of the vehicle and walk around with a safari guide from to the top around where you can see the park in all corners. At the hill, you will have your lunch while resting preparing yourself for the evening game drive. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive and you proceed to the watering holes where a large number of elephants families gather around to drink water and also lions will try their luck to catch dinner. After that, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 13: Transfer back to Nairobi

After having your morning breakfast, you will have a morning game drive to search for other animals which you were not able to see in the previous days. After having your lunch, you will set off for Nairobi city. Dinner and overnight at Boma Nairobi hotel.

Day 14: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park

After having your morning breakfast, you will head straight to Lake Nakuru national park is located Northwest of Nairobi, in Nakuru District of the Rift Valley Province. You will reach in time for lunch at your lodge and after lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive to see the huge numbers of flamingo which are concentrated along the lake shore. In addition to the bird life for which Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck. Day 15: Explore Lake Nakuru National Park

After having your morning breakfast, you will early morning game drive to look for leopards which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park. You will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of Rhinos which are found in the park and after that, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be relaxing at the lodge in the swimming pool before an evening game drive. In the evening, you will embark on an evening game drive to search for more wildlife which around the park. You will return at the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 16: Morning game drive & drive back to Nairobi city

After enjoying coffee or tea at the lodge , you will leave for an early morning game drive in search of animals and big cats that may have come out into the open during the night. After the game drive, you will then return to the lodge for a full breakfast. You will Check out from the lodge and you will start your journey to Nairobi city. After reaching to Nairobi, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at Park view Inn.

You start your bike tour from Sanya juu heading down to Enduimet wildlife management area which borders Amboseli national park. You ride along a dirt road in the park while seeing different types of animals around mountain Kilimanjaro even the elephants then you head to the Maasai villages where you get a beautiful view of mountain Kilimanjaro and its open plains. Your biking tour of the day ends at Sinya which is found in the Maasai homesteads and you will head to your camp.

Day 18: Bike from Enduimet to Sanya 85km

Here, you wrap up your last day of cycling by passing through the Maasai villages along their plantation on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. The tour comprises of several steep ascents and descents while cycling through outskirts and suburbs of Kilimanjaro heading towards Serengeti national park for a hot air balloon and game drive. Today, you will wake up at 4:00am and take your morning breakfast and organize yourself for the hot air balloon safari. By 5:30am you must be at the briefing point where the flight pilot will give you instructions to follow during the flight. At 6:00am, you will start your flight which will last for an hour above in the air. It is an exhilarating tour that most people never get to experience. The balloon flies predominantly over the Seronera river which is the only permanent water source in central Serengeti and it is a perfect place for spotting wildlife. Note that the area around the river is particularly scenic, teeming with open plains, acacia woodlands, hippo’s water pools. The views are guaranteed to be magnificent and after the hot air balloon safari, you will have a walking safari which puts you right in the middle of the savannah. This tour is an educational experience whereby you will learn how to track animals, see and touch flora that comprises the region’s complex food chain. In the evening, you will drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight while watching the sunset and later in the night, you will have a night game drive where you have a glimpse for the local wildlife that others don’t see during the day time. Day 20: Full day game drive

After having your morning breakfast, you will start your game drive in the morning where you will see a lot of animals but most especially you will be luck enough to see a great migration of more than a million wildebeests plus hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles undertaking a long trek to a new grazing grounds. You will will see how these wildebeests struggle to cross the Mara river and this is an incredible event which you should not miss. In the mid afternoon, you will drive back at the lodge to take lunch and also rest for a while. Later in the afternoon, you will go for another game drive where you will see the Big 5 animals like the elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs etc. Know that the park is a section home of elephants, hippos, giraffes, elands etc. In the evening, you will start your journey to Mountain Kilimanjaro national park for hiking. After having your morning breakfast, our driver guide will pick you from Kilimanjaro mountain resort and drive you to Kilimanjaro national park gate which takes about 1 hour to reach at the gate. You will register at the park offices and then you will start straight away with your trek walking through the rainforest towards Mandara huts. You will have a side trek to Maundi crater where you be able to see the surrounding of northern Tanzania and some parts of Kenya. While passing through the rainforest, make sure to look for towering Eucalytus tress, Colobus monkeys and birds on your way to Mandara huts.

After having your early morning breakfast, you will start your trek from Mandara huts ascending to Horombo huts. You will leave the glades of the rainforest and continue following an ascending path on the open moorland to the Horombo huts. On your way, you will view Mawenzi and the summit Kibo on a distance which is super amazing to view. You will look for giant lobelias and grounsels even at this point. You will start feeling the effects of the altitude.

You will have a full day resting at Horombo huts while you have some small hiking's around or nearby Mawenzi peak. This trek around Mawenzi peak will depend on you either to hike the peak or you stay at the huts while preparing yourself for tomorrows hike.

You will start your today’s trek after taking your breakfast and then ascend uphill while passing the last watering point while walking onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. The vegetation starts with upper heathland but which later disappears into moonscape. You will have your dinner very early in the evening and sleep early while preparing for the summit climbing in the midnight.

Today, you will wake up in the midnight at 2:00am and have a hot tea and snacks and then after, you will start your last hike to the summit on a steep and heavy scree or snow up to Gilman’s point located on the crater rim. You will continue climbing ascending to Uhuru peak which is the highest point in Africa. Get to know this, that there are unbelievable views at every turn you make on the summit which are incredible. You will take some videos and pictures on the summit of mountain Kilimanjaro which you will show your friends and family members. At having sometime at the summit, you will start descending down stopping for lunch while resting for a short time at Kbo huts and then afterwards continue descending to Horombo huts. Note that climbing the summit is done in the night in the dark so you are required to have a head lamp or flashlight. Remember also that it will be very cold until you start descending down, so you will need to have your warm layers. Remember that this is far the most difficult part of the trek which is comprised of switchbacks and the going is very slow which involves using poles and an optimistic altitude while getting down from the summit.

After having your early morning breakfast, you will have a steady descent taking you down through moorland to the Mandara hut. You will continue slopping down through lush forest path to Kilimanjaro national park at Marangu gate. Remember that the lower elevation it is always wet and muddy so you will use gaiters and trekking poles to help you. Get to know that shorts and T-shirts will be probably the best to wear(keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy). After reaching at Marangu gate of Kilimanjaro, you will meet our driver who will be waiting for you drive you to Moshi town to take your flight to Zanzibar Island. Day 28: Stone town, spice farms & prison Island

After having your morning breakfast, you will start exploring Zanzibar by visiting stone town, spice farms where you taste different cuisines such as cardamom, cinnamon, black peppers and cloves etc. You will learn about the history & culture of the local people leaving in Zanzibar and stone town and on this tour, you will be with your guide. You will enjoy delicious local made spiced rice lunch in the farm with fresh fish and fruits such as pineapples mangoes, bananas, watermelons etc. You will learn more about the history of prison Island. In the evening, you will be transferred back to the airport to take your flight back to your home.
