This exciting safari tour will take you to explore the incredible Virunga National Park. At the park, you will go for an amazing gorilla trek in the misty mountains. You will also spend time viewing the wildlife at the edge of the park where you see Golden monkeys, Chimpanzees and a variety of bird species in Virunga national park.
At your arrival at Kigali international Airport, you will be welcomed by driver guide who will drive you to your hotel. After your rest, you will have a city tour in Kigali city whereby your will visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial, visit the museums, have a natural walk around the city and then after that, in the evening you will start on your journey to Ruhengeri to volcanoes national park which is a home to over 500 mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Virunga Lodge.

Today, you will wake up at 5:30am and have your breakfast while preparing for your first day of gorilla tracking. After your breakfast, you will get things which you will use during and also go with your packed lunch. Don’t forget to come with your jacket, camera, a hut, a face mask on your during tracking and after reaching at Kinigi headquarters for briefing at 6:30am, you will learn more about different types of gorilla families and also their behaviors. After the briefing, you start your trek which will take 2-6 hours whereby on your way, you will enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the rainforest. After enjoying an hour stay with the gorillas, you will return to the starting point where you will meet your driver guide and drive you back to lodge for resting. Dinner and overnight at Virunga lodge.

You will wake early in the morning and have your breakfast plus packing your food which you will eat on your way. At 7:00am you will reach at the briefing center where you will meet your rangers who will lead you on the trek. The tracking takes about 1-4 hours depending on the troops of monkey location in the forest. After tracking, you will head back to the lodge and have a rest will be preparing yourself for the evening activities. In the evening, you will have a natural walk around the neighboring village to experience Rwandan culture with the natives and here, you learn more about their day to day living etc and after the natural walk, you will come back at the lodge for dinner and overnight at Virunga lodge.

You will wake up very early in the morning to have your breakfast and then after drive to Kinigi headquarters for briefing. On your second day of gorilla tracking, you will be allocated another gorilla group or family which you will track and you will get more experience with the gorillas learning more about them which will create bonding with them leaving you with unforgettable experience on your life. After an hour with the gorillas, you will hike down to the starting point to meet your driver guide who will drive you back to Kigali for your departure back home.
