Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park

After your clearance at Kigali international Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide and he will brief you about the 5 days of gorilla tracking and then after that, you will hit the road driving to south of Rwanda in Nyanza district to visit the king’s palace. Here, you will learn more about the pre-colonial era in Rwanda and also get more knowledge about the Rwandan culture. You will drive to Butare district to learn more about the first museum which was created by the Belgian government. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest house.

After having your morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali for a city tour. You will visit different places, learning about Kigali life. You will start with a visit to the sobering Kigali Genocide Memorial. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi. You will visit Kimironko market to buy some souvenirs and also interact with the locals. Later in the evening, you will explore Kigali's nightlife. Dinner and overnight at Marriott hotel.

You will wake up very early in the morning to prepare yourself for today’s journey to Bwindi national park in Uganda. It will take about 3-4 hours to reach your lodge in Bwindi national park. Check-in with your lodge and enjoy dinner and overnight at 4 gorilla lodge.

Today, you will wake up at 5:30 am and organize yourself for tracking gorillas in the forest. You will go with packed food, water, jacket, camera, face mask, and more. After briefing at the park headquarters, you will follow park rangers who will lead you during the trek. Return to the lodge for refreshment and enjoy a natural walk in the community. Dinner and overnight at 4 gorilla lodge.

Wake up early, have breakfast, and prepare for chimpanzee tracking. Reach the briefing center at 7:00 am to meet your rangers. Tracking takes about 2-5 hours. Return to the lodge and have a rest before a natural walk around the neighboring village. Dinner and overnight at 4 gorilla lodge.

Wake up early and have breakfast, then drive to the headquarters for briefing. You'll be allocated another gorilla group to get more experience with the gorillas. After spending time with the gorillas, hike down to the starting point, meet your driver guide, pack your bags, and journey back to Kigali to take your flight home.
