You will crown your safari with a trip to Jinja, a town endowed with remarkable tourist attractions that include the Source of the Nile, the Bujagali Falls, and the old Styled Indian buildings among others. ITINERARY

14 Days | 13 Nights Safari in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Upon your arrival at Entabbe airport, you will find our drive guide waiting for you outside at the arrivals holding a poster bearing the company name for easy identification. After meeting him, he will brief you about the 14 days safari in Uganda and after that, he will drive you to Boma hotel in Entebbe where you will spend your overnight. In the evening, you will go for a short bird watching in the swamps of Mabamba to see different types of birds and then later, you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Boma hotel.

Day 2: Mabamba wetlands in Entebbe

After having your early morning breakfast, you will start your birding safari by driving to Mabamba wetlands in Entebbe. This wetland has got different types of bird species such as White winged Gonolek, Blue breasted bee eater, Afep pigeons, Black shouldered night jar, Blue swallow, Lesser Jacana and shoebill etc. In the evening, you will start your journey to Jinja in eastern uganda for white Nile river rafting and dinner and overnight at at source of the Nile hotel.

Day 3: Bike Jinja town to Itanda falls on River Nile

After your morning breakfast, you will jump on your bike to ride around the villages along the Nile banks which will take about to 40km to reach Itanda falls. You will have your lunch at Itanda falls while resting to the rapid falls viewing the beauty of river Nile and its surrounding. After your lunch, you will get back on your bike to ride back to Jinja town for your dinner and overnight at at source of the Nile hotel.

Day 4: Bike to Bujagali Falls

After having your early morning breakfast, you will have another bike trip to Bujagali falls passing some villages on the banks on river Nile. On your way, you will interact with the natives buy some drinks and continue with your journey. This trip has got memorable experience because of the beautiful fall and its landscape and Islands around the river. You will have your lunch at Bujagali falls while watching the rapids and the beautiful birds around it. After your lunch, you will get back on your bike to ride back to Jinja town for your dinner and overnight at at source of the Nile hotel.

Day 5: Rafting in Jinja, bungee jumping, sunset cruise

After having your morning breakfast, you will drive towards river Nile for rafting, Kayaking or tubing. The activity takes you rowing through the turbulent sections and rapids of the river Nile. The rapids are graded 3, 4&5 hence offering some of the best Whitewater rafting experience in the world. This activity will give you time to relax, mingle wither rafters, spot birds, enjoy the nature and watch local fishermen fishing. After rafting, you will have another activity where you will go for bungee jumping and this is one of the craziest activity you will ever do in your life. It involves jumping from a tower which is 44 meters high and down wards the Nile waters with a rope tied to the ankles. Then in the evening, you will have a sunset cruise where you will watch the sunset while enjoying a wonderful time with your family and friends on the majestic River Nile. Enjoy dinner with cold drinks while having great views of the Islands. After the boat cruise, you will start your journey to Lake Mburo national park. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia lodge.

Day 6: Full day game drive & boat ride Lake Mburo

After having your morning breakfast, you will go a morning game drive which will take 4 hours and you will be able to see different animals such as lions, elephants, zebras, impala, giraffes, buffaloes etc. After lunch, you will have a boat ride on lake Mburo to search for birds, hippos and crocodiles. After the boat ride, you will embark on a horse ride to explore the park on a horse ride. You will be able to spot wildlife such as impalas, zebras, giraffes at a closer range and it takes 1-5 hours horse ride depending on your horse experience. Later in the evening, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia lodge.

Day 7: Morning game drive

After having your morning breakfast, you will go a morning game drive to search for other animals which you never saw the previous days. After lunch, you will start your journey to Kibale national park for chimpanzee and monkey tracking. Dinner and overnight at Papaya Lake Lodge.

Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National park and afternoon Bigodi wetlands walk

After having your morning breakfast, you will drive to the park office by 7am. Meet the park guides for quick briefing and set out for the chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale national park. You will be tracking one of the several chimpanzee groups in the Kanyanchu chimpanzee community that is full habituated. It may take 1 hour or 2 to find the chimpanzees which can be heard screaming from a distance. You will spend a maximum of 1 hour with the chimps and then return to the lodge or lunch. After lunch, you will go for a walk in the Bigodi wetlands. The Bigodi wetlands are situated on the edge of Kibale National Park. The wetlands harbor up to 8 species of primates and several other wildlife. After a wonderful nature experience in Bigodi wetlands, you will continue and visit the local communities near the wetlands and learn about their cultures and traditions. Later in the evening, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Papaya Lake Lodge.

Day 9: Natural walk Kibale national park

After having your morning breakfast, you will have a natural walk around the forest while preparing yourself for a long journey. After the walk, you will start your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight at Irungu forest safari lodge.

Day 10: Full day game drive & boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park

After having your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back home to meet your family and that will mark the end of your 10 days safari in Rwanda.

Day 11: Hot air ballon, game drive & boat ride Queen Elizabeth national park

Today, you will wake up at 4:00am and take your morning breakfast and organize yourself for the hot air balloon safari. By 5:30am you must be at the briefing point where the flight pilot will give you instructions to follow during the flight. At 6:00am, you will start your flight which will last for an hour above in the air. It is an exhilarating tour that most people never get to experience. The balloon flies predominantly over the park towards lake George which is the only permanent water source in Queen Elizabeth national park and it is a perfect place for spotting wildlife. Note that the area around the lake is particularly scenic, teeming with open plains, acacia woodlands, hippo’s water pools. The views are guaranteed to be magnificent and after the hot air balloon safari, you will have a morning game drive where you will be able to see crocodiles, hippos, birds, elephants, zebras, impala etc. You will have a boat ride on the lake to search for different types of birds, hippos and Nile crocodiles. In the evening, you will start on journey Bwindi national park for gorilla tracking. Dinner and overnight at 4 gorilla lodge.

Day 12: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi national park

Today, you will wake up at 5:30am and take your breakfast and start to organize yourself the today’s activity of tracking gorillas in the forest. You will go with your packed food, water, jacket, camera, face mask, a hut and by 6:30am you will be at park headquarters for briefing where you will learn more about different Gorilla families and the rules to follow while tracking. After briefing, you will follow the park rangers who will lead you during the trek. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for refreshment and then later in the evening have a natural walk around the neighboring community to learn about the place. After the natural walk in the community, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at 4 gorilla lodge.

Day 13: Second Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi national park

You will wake up very early in the morning to have breakfast and then after drive to the headquarters for briefing. On your second day of tracking of gorillas, you will be allocated another gorilla another gorilla group or family to get more experience with the gorillas. You will get more chance to learn a lot about gorillas which create bonding with them leaving you with unforgettable experience on your life. After an hour with the gorillas, you will hike down to the starting point where you will meet your driver guide who will drive you back to your lodge pack your bags for the journey back to Kampala city. Dinner and overnight at Serena hotel.

Day 14: Kampala city tour & transfer to the airport

After having your morning breakfast, you will go on a kampala city tour to visit the national museum, national theatre, muslim mosque, local markets to by some souvenirs etc. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back home.
